question to the runner ...

I have a question about "mountain passes" ... I know that mountain runs the training part of it, especially when you know that have to be overcome in the competition a few meters. Now I have means no hills within reach, I'd have to be added each time to put in car ... In addition, I get to see him right now anyway only on weekends because there is run to the other during the week too dark. The quasi together minimizes the chance to make this regularly. I've never been someone who has traveled by car to the running track. :)

My question: I can compensate for the lack of mountain passes by additional strength training? For mountain runs in the first place so give strength for the legs.

I guess ... it is certainly better than "nothing" to do.
